We are a new HVAC contractor serving the St. Johns, Duval and Clay county area. We provide services in Residential & Commercial Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems. Founded in 2015 we are a family owned business committed to quality, professionalism and exemplary customer service.  For home or business we are here to serve your heating and cooling needs.​

Our goal is to provide quality service, maintenance and installation of heating and cooling systems to all of our customers and ensure they are completely satisfied.  To provide efficient and effective solutions to all of our customer's HVAC needs.

In loving memory of James Malcolm (Mal) Faircloth.  July 2, 1938 - September 7, 2005

 

Mal was an HVAC technician for over 35 years in the Jacksonville area.  He spent his life giving his knowledge and experience in servicing heating and air conditioning systems.  He was a humble man and dedicated his time in making sure the residents in Jacksonville stayed cool in the summer and warm in the winter.  Mal worked for various HVAC companies in the Jacksonville area during his lifetime and the people that knew him were confident that when he came to your home for an air conditioning or heating problem their unit would be fixed right.

 

Malcolm is survived by four sons, and five grandchildren.  His youngest son (Jeff) is the owner of A Degree Above Heating & Air Conditioning LLC and is dedicated in keeping the same honest workmanship and morals that his father had.

 

Jeff is the owner of "A Degree Above Heating & Air Conditioning LLC".  He grew up in the Greater Jacksonville area and worked with his father on heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems since he was a young boy.  His father taught him the basics of refrigeration and various techniques that Malcolm learned from his past instructors and personal experience in the field.  Jeff obtained his bachelor's degree in Computer Information Science from the University of North Florida in 2005 and has completed multiple HVAC courses at Florida State College at Jacksonville to obtain further education in the HVAC industry.  He worked for Thigpen Heating & Cooling Inc. from 2007 -2013 as a field technician and service department administrator.  He was a truck driver for a United States Postal Contractor for nine years.  He obtained his Florida Certified Class A State License in January 2015.  He has two children, Anna and Wyatt.  They currently live in St Augustine Florida.

 

Jeff's dream is to build his entrepreneurship into a leading HVAC Company and spread throughout the state of Florida offering superior customer service and leading service technology in the HVAC industry.  He is inspired to use his experience and knowledge passed on to him from his father to provide quality workmanship for all is customers.

A Degree Above Heating & Air Conditioning LLC is a Licensed and insured HVAC Contractor.  We are committed in serving all of the Greater Jacksonville area and surrounding counties with our experienced and professional team.
